Jennifer UhlingerOwner, Mind & Body Pilates
As former dancer, gymnast and lifelong athlete, Jennifer has practiced the Pilates method since 2000, and was initially drawn to the practice by its emphasis on strength, flexibility, and control. While Jennifer’s goal was to develop a strong, lean and toned body, she discovered that practicing Pilates had profound effects on her mind as well. Pilates not only enabled her to rehabilitate her own injuries and imbalances, but it also helped her foster a healthier lifestyle for herself and for her clients. Jennifer is passionate about teaching Pilates and strives to educate and empower her clients by teaching them in a simple and straightforward way about how their bodies are work in and outside of her studio. Her varied clientele includes professional dancers, fitness enthusiasts, competitive athletes, and individuals who simply desire better posture and alignment. Jennifer specializes in rehabilitation, including those who suffer with chronic back pain, joint pain, fibromialgia, MS, Parkinson’s and other diseases. Jennifer is also known and well respected for her work in the Dressage community of the equestrian realm. She works closely with riders and their riding instructors to assist them in obtaining their goals of creating well conditioned and balanced athletes. “Together we can help improve each rider’s posture and flexibility, as well as increase strength and balance, and correct individual body misalignments.” As a dedicated professional, Jennifer furthers her knowledge of the Pilates Method by regularly attending continuing education workshops and conferences. She is a professional member of the Pilates Method Alliance and Core Dynamics. Jennifer is available for private sessions Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at the West Palm Beach Studio, and Tuesday and Thursday at the Wellington Studio. (Contact Jennifer via email.)

“I have to admit the instructors I worked with before I started at Mind & Body Pilates offered decent training; but soon became very repetitive and boring. The program at Mind & Body Pilates is very upbeat and versatile and designed to meet the client’s individual needs. Jennifer is very patient and determined that her clients understand exactly how each movement is done correctly. I was recently diagnosed with osteoporosis in my hips; and now she is focusing on that problem as well. As a 77 year old, I can still enjoy golf; and have noticed great improvement in my balance and stamina. I owe it all to my sessions at Mind & Body Pilates and the very caring and professional instructors there.”- Dee Conway
